Sancler didn't start as a company. It started in 2022 as a personal decision — Clara Sánchez leaving her job and facing the uncertainty of a new beginning, along with the conviction to build a life around freedom, economic independence, and discipline. That decision is today a six-product line sold on two ends of a plane route: the Dominican Republic and now New York.
The kitchen-table formulation
What followed wasn't a lab launch. The formula developed by hand, alongside family and friends, built around an ideal of purity and wellbeing rather than a business plan. Time passed before the formulation reached the Instituto de Innovación en Biotecnología e Industria (IIBI) for scientific validation, the point where Sancler became a company rather than a home project.
From validation to industrial production
Over time, manufacturing moved to Laboratorios Modernos in the Dominican Republic, under consistent, batch-to-batch industrial processes. That shift — from a formula validated in partnership with the IIBI to one produced at industrial scale by a dedicated manufacturer — is what separates a home project from a company. By 2026, Sancler reached nine supermarkets and one pharmacy across the Dominican Republic — and opened its next chapter in New York.
Five stages
Laid out end to end, the path looks like this: 2022, the decision. After that, hand development with family and friends, scientific validation with the IIBI, and industrial manufacturing with Laboratorios Modernos. 2026, retail in nine Dominican supermarkets and one pharmacy, and a New York opening. It's the same formula moving through each stage a small business actually goes through.
“My purpose was to create a formula made with carefully selected ingredients, inspired by an ideal of purity and wellbeing.” — Clara, founder of Sancler
The same formula, eight hours north by plane
New York didn't get a different, watered-down version of the brand. It's the same six-product line — Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-In, Mascarilla, Gota de Brillo, and Nourishing Scalp & Hair Drops — made in the same facility in the Dominican Republic, now delivered across New York City with a pickup point in the Bronx.
Where the Bronx chapter actually sits
Sancler's New York pickup point is at 3216 Corlear Ave in the Bronx, open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM, closed Sunday. It sits close to Fordham, University Heights, Kingsbridge, Bedford Park, and Belmont — and delivery reaches all of New York City from there, coordinated directly over WhatsApp.
Three ways to get the line in New York
- Home shipping — order online, flat $10, delivered in two to five business days by USPS.
- Pickup in the Bronx — pay online or over WhatsApp, pick up at 3216 Corlear Ave during store hours.
- Local delivery — coordinated directly over WhatsApp, anywhere in New York City.
Three options, one line, one manufacturer eight hours south by plane. The distance changed; the formula didn't.
